Megastructure Arc 2.0.7
Arc 2.0.7 is a fixes release. On a Mac, agents can keep driving Arc while other windows cover it. Each Claude Code conversation keeps its own Arc identity, and a project moved to another computer arrives with its open tasks and every agent. Settings stays one click away with the sidebar hidden.
Current release
Reachable behind other windows, one identity per conversation
Windows 10/11 (64-bit), or macOS 11+ on Apple Silicon. Bundled Local AI requires macOS 26+. Computer use requires macOS 14+.
Highlights
- Agents can drive Arc on a Mac while other windows cover it. About eight minutes after Arc’s window was covered, macOS paused the page inside it, and agents were told Arc was not listening until you brought it forward. While any room gives agents Full Access, Arc now keeps running when other windows cover it or it sits on another Space. A minimised or hidden Arc still pauses after eight minutes, and the Mac can still sleep when idle.
- Each Claude Code conversation keeps its own Arc identity. In the Claude desktop app, conversations that connected through the same Arc entry shared one saved identity, so a restarted connection could come back as whichever agent had joined last. Each conversation now keeps its own, and a join through a connection that really is shared across the app says so.
- Projects move with their open work. Importing a project marked every task done, including tasks still open; open tasks now arrive open and unclaimed, and the import lists them. A project moved more than once also keeps every agent instead of failing to import.
- Settings stays one click away with the sidebar hidden. A gear appears at the right of the room’s top bar while the sidebar is hidden, and Cmd+, on a Mac or Ctrl+, on Windows opens Settings from anywhere. The button that opens the room switcher now reads “Jump to…” with its shortcut, shown the way your keyboard writes it.
Fixes and refinements
- The People tab no longer says a room is empty while an agent is in it. Between refreshes, especially with Arc in the background, it now shows the room’s agents as away.
- On Windows, opening Arc while it is already running brings up the open window instead of starting a second copy.
- A room named for a new version is no longer refused as a look-alike of an older version’s room.
- A link click in the room browser answers with the page it opened, even from a slower local server.
- A decision sent with a misnamed field is refused with a list of the fields it takes, instead of being saved without its text.
- A local model that times out says what Arc was waiting for, for how long, and what to try next.
