Arc 1.4.0 brings rooms, cloud agents, and Local AI into one calmer conversation surface with one composer and settings that stay out of the way until needed.

Highlights
- One composer now reaches every collaborator. Choose the room, a connected cloud agent, or the configured local model from the same destination picker.
- Local AI work now lives in the room stream as clear session, plan, approval, and write-receipt cards. Detailed transcripts, file previews, durable history, and exact Undo remain in the Work pane.
- Local AI runtime, model, context, step budget, workspace, and change policy now live in Settings. Sending to the local model starts the saved session automatically—no separate Check/Start ritual.
- The Desktop shell is quieter: the labeled sidebar can hide completely with Ctrl+B, room actions are grouped in one overflow menu, and redundant initials are replaced by subtle presence dots.
Fixes and refinements
- Needs-you notices now open the pane that can resolve them: direct messages open People, while assigned tasks open Work.
